Sunburst Mirror.
I’m a big fan of the Sunburst Mirror.
However, I am not a fan of the high price tag. I just can’t justify spending so much on one item…especially when it’s not a necessity! So…after perusing several Decor and DIY blogs, I decided to make my own! I used:
- 1- 8” diameter mirror $4
- 2- packs of wooden skewers $6
- wood glue $3
- picture hanging hook (free- I had it already : )
Directions: First, I cut half of the skewers in half (using craft scissors). I then took the longer skewers and glued them to the back of the mirror, spacing them equal distance apart. After all of the long skewers were glued down, I glued the shorter skewers in between the longer ones. Next, I glued on a picture hook…and done! Well, for now! Later this week, I’ll show the fun paint job I did on the mirror! (hint: it’s for Peyton’s room, so lot’s of fun colors!)
