Tray chic.
Today’s post is about a tres’ chic tray! (Thanks to my husband for the clever play on words!)
I love using grown-up decor ideas in kids’ rooms. And while trays are all the rage in the interior design world, very few are kid friendly! And as usual, I knew I could make my own version cheaper and cuter!
Supplies:
1 Wooden Tray $3 @ Walmart
1 Pack of Martha Stewart Stickers $2.5 @ Michael’s (With coupon : )
1 Sheet of Fuchsia and White houndstooth scrapbook paper $0.25 @ Michael’s (on sale)
Mod Podge Glue $2 @ Michael’s
Light Pink Acrylic Paint $FREE (can be purchased at any craft store for Less than $1)
Scissors $FREE
Total: $7.75

1. First I painted two coats of the light pink acrylic paint onto the tray.
2. After the tray was dry, I Cut the sheet of scrapbook paper to fit the inside of the tray.
3. Using the Mod Podge glue, I glued the paper into the bottom of the tray, to serve as a decorative liner.
4. I then used the Martha Stewart stickers to spell out my daughter’s name along the side of the tray.
**For extra credit, you can seal the paint and liner with the mod podge. However, I wasn’t that committed.**
